Fosforany.../Uwodnione fosforany z obymi anionami/seria Wavelitu - Kingitu(VII/D.13-10)
Formuła chemiczna: Al3(PO4)2(OH)3F0.5·5(H2O)
Wavellit to rzadki minerał z gromady fosforanów. Tworzy kryształy o pokroju słupkowym, pręcikowym, igiełkowym. Występuje w skupieniach promienistych i rozetowyc.
Nazwa pochodzi od nazwiska angielskiego lekarza i fizyka W. Wavella, który ten minerał odkrył.
Tabular honey-yellow hexagonal crystals of the rare earth carbonate bastnaesite-Ce are found in a matrix of crystalline purple fluorite. These specimens are from a locality that has since been reclaimed. A hunter decided it would be a good idea to jump up and down on the boards covering the main shaft; you can fill in what happened, and why the mine was reclaimed as a result. There is very little likelihood of further specimens from the Red Cloud Mine being collected. Collected in 1990.
Reddish-orange minute crystals of karibibite are found along factures and in small pockets in metallic-luster loellingite. Minor amounts of dark green scorodite rims some of the karibibite. This is a fine specimen for the micro and species collector.
