This site is a result of years of passion for astronomy which started when I used Scotch tape, tripod and
binoculars to look at the bright "star" in 1987. The "star" turned out to be Jupiter, and my set-up allowed me to see
it's moons. In 1993 I bought my first telescope - a 6" Meade Starfinder Dobson - which allowed me to witness
comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 collision with Jupiter in Jula 1994. It is still in use today with a number of other
instruments.
meteorytyy.net site has been on-line since 2007, It is a part of teleskopy.net network which has been on-line since
2005 - with steady growth of visitors; but our optics dedicated sites are on-line since 2001 and photography and
visualisation sites dating back to 1996. In this time we have gathered quite an expertise in running an on-line inforamtion and trade services.
Teleskopy.net is now a leading edge astronomy site, providing unrivalled breadth of knowledge in form
of instrument catalogues, real-time observation data as well as in-depth reviews and practical
and theoretical articles. We are also deeply involved in promoting astronomy outside of web, coordinating
National Astronomy Meetings and cooperating with Polish Amateur Astronomers Association.
